Our Services
Soft, warm, and inviting — carpet remains the premier choice for bedrooms and living areas where comfort is paramount.
Despite the rise of hard surface flooring, carpet remains one of the most popular flooring choices for bedrooms, family rooms, and staircases — and for good reason. Carpet provides unmatched softness underfoot, acts as a natural sound absorber, and creates a warm, cozy atmosphere that hard surfaces simply cannot replicate. At House of Floors, we carry a thoughtfully curated selection of carpet styles, from plush and textured to berber and patterned, in a wide range of colors and fiber types. Our installation team ensures every carpet is stretched, seamed, and finished to the highest standard.
Carpet requires more maintenance than hard surface flooring — regular vacuuming and periodic professional cleaning are essential to maintain its appearance and extend its lifespan. It is also less suitable for households with severe pet allergies, as carpet can trap pet dander and other allergens. In high-traffic areas like hallways and main living spaces, carpet may show wear more quickly than hard surfaces. That said, for bedrooms and comfort-focused spaces, carpet remains an excellent and practical choice that we're proud to offer.
Nylon is generally considered the most durable carpet fiber — it's resilient, stain-resistant, and holds up well in high-traffic areas. Polyester offers excellent stain resistance and a softer feel at a lower price point. Wool is a premium natural option with excellent durability and natural stain resistance. We'll help you choose the right fiber for your lifestyle.
Most residential carpet installations can be completed in a single day. Larger homes or complex layouts may take two days. We'll give you a clear timeline during your consultation.
Regular vacuuming (2–3 times per week in high-traffic areas) is the most important maintenance step. We recommend professional cleaning every 12–18 months. Address spills immediately by blotting — never rubbing — with a clean cloth.
In most cases, carpet is installed directly over a subfloor with a separate padding layer. Existing hard flooring is typically removed before carpet installation to ensure a proper, level surface.
